Tiiu Pohl (Ph.D.)

Has been working (teaching) internationally at Cornell University (USA), Helsinki University (Finland), carried out research at the University of Oxford (UK), has been a Fulbright Scholar at Columbia University (USA).

Also visiting lecturer at Boğaziçi University, Turkey (Istanbul), Salento University, Italy, IDRAC Business School, France (Lyon), Upper Austria University (Steyr), guest-lecturer at Virginia Military Institute (VMI, USA) and in many other academic institutions.

Participated at numerous international conferences, seminars, roundtables in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania, Italy, Spain, France, Netherlands, UK, Ireland, USA, Russia, China etc.

Major fields of research  – hard security threats, paradigm changes in international relations and more specifically the domestic, foreign, security and defense policies of the United States, Russian Federation and China (People’s Republic of China).

Fluent in three languages (reading, writing, speaking) – Estonian, English and Russian.
